What is Geek therapy and is it just “geeking out” in session? We answer these questions and more in this episode of This Hour has 50 Minutes with guest, Elizabeth Sanchez Arvizu. So whether you’re into DnD, LARPing, Marvel or Disney films, find out how these and other interests can be explored to improve mental health.
Dr. Tamara Soles and Elizabeth Sanchez Arvizu discuss Geek Therapy. The instructors review how Geek Therapy is defined, who it may be suited for, and how to use it to help meet a client’s therapeutic goals. Elizabeth provided concrete examples of how to use geek therapy beyond rapport building.
