Dr. David Paul and Dr. Tamara Soles explore using Prolonged Exposure (PE) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to treat Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The instructors introduce the elements to each approach, challenges, complications, and therapists’ attitudes as they relate to treating PTSD. In addition to reviewing imaginal and in-vivo exposures for PE and the steps involved in CPT, the differences between approaches is discussed as well as how to identify which approach is better for a client.
Dr. Tamara Soles is approved by the American Psychological Association and the Canadian Psychological Association to offer continuing education for psychologists. Dr. Tamara Soles maintains responsibility for the program.
